In Scouting America, youth leadership is real.

Scouts elect their Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leaders, who plan meetings, lead patrols, and represent their peers. Adults don’t pick winners! We teach the roles, protect the process, and coach leaders after the election.

Done right, elections aren’t popularity contests.

They’re practice for responsibility, service, and leadership that actually matters.
